Refer non-US founders and earn a fixed fee
If your audience or clients are founders outside the United States, you can recommend Nonresident Tax and earn a fixed fee for each new customer who pays a first order.
Who it is for
The program is open to anyone who can honestly recommend us to non-US founders who want a US company, an EIN, a registered agent and US tax filings. It fits best if you are:
An accountant or bookkeeper with clients outside the US
A consultant or lawyer who advises international founders
A creator who writes, films or podcasts for people running a business from abroad
A community, newsletter or forum that serves non-US founders
How it works
Apply below.
We review your application and email you the decision.
Once approved, sign in to the partner portal with an email code.
You get a personal link, such as nonresident.tax/r/yourname, and you can add ?via=yourname to any page on our site.
Share it.
When someone you refer opens a new account and pays a first order, you earn a fee. You follow every referral, fee and payout in the portal.
What you earn
You earn a fixed fee for each new customer's first paid order, provided they paid within 60 days of clicking your link. The fee depends on the service they bought. You see the fee table in your approval email and in the portal.
- Only new customers count: their account must be created after they click your link.
- Only the first paid order counts. Renewals, later orders and existing customers do not earn a fee.
- The last partner link a customer clicked before creating their account gets the credit.
- The fee never goes above what the customer actually paid us, not counting state fees and tax.
Rules
These are the main rules. The full list is in the program terms, and breaking them voids the fee.
- Disclose the relationship. Say clearly, near the link, that you earn a fee if someone buys. This is required by the US Federal Trade Commission and by the program terms.
- Do not bid on our brand name or its misspellings in paid search or social ads.
- Do not post your link on coupon, deal or cashback sites.
- Do not spam, post fake reviews or make misleading claims. We are not a law firm or a CPA firm, so do not describe us as one, and do not promise tax outcomes.
- Do not refer yourself or buy through your own link.

Questions
How long does a referral last?
60 days. If the customer pays a first order within 60 days of clicking your link, you earn the fee. If they pay later, nobody earns it.
When do I get paid?
Each fee is held for 60 days after the customer pays, in case of a refund or chargeback. Then it becomes payable. On the 1st of each month we pay partners who have at least $100 payable. A smaller balance rolls over to the next month.
How are payouts sent?
Through Wise, to your Wise email or bank details, in a currency Wise supports. If your bank is not on Wise, your bank and currency conversion fees come out of the payout.
Do I need a tax form?
Yes, before your first payout. You add a W-8BEN if you are a non-US individual, a W-8BEN-E if you are a non-US company, or a W-9 if you are a US person. You do it in the partner portal, and it takes about 5 minutes.
What if a customer gets a refund?
A refund or chargeback cancels the fee. If it happens after we paid you, we take it off your next payout.
Who cannot join?
We cannot accept applicants who live in, or are based in, a sanctioned country or region: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. We also cannot pay anyone on a sanctions list.
Do my customers get a discount?
Not by default. We can set up a discount code for a partner with a large audience. Ask after you are approved.
